Description
The Vertilux Crestron Home Driver provides a robust, platform-based solution for managing Vertilux motorized shades. By utilizing a central platform driver to manage communication, this integration offers an exceptionally clean user interface that groups all window treatments within a room onto a single, intuitive page.
Advanced Shading & UI Features:
-
Streamlined Interface: View and control every shade in a room on one screen, eliminating the need for multiple tiles and excessive scrolling.
-
Native Sequence Support: Trigger shades effortlessly through Crestron Home scenes, keypad buttons, or handheld remotes.
-
Scalable Architecture: Add multiple shade groups or rooms easily using the platform driver’s user attributes.
-
Reliable Control: Execute core commands including Open, Stop, and Close with instant feedback via the Crestron Home framework.
Technical Deployment Notes:
-
Hardware Requirement: You must use an RS-232 to RS-485 converter to establish communication between the Crestron Home processor’s COM port and the Vertilux hardware.
-
Motor Configuration: Ensure you set all limits, IDs, and groups using the Vertilux Configuration Tool software before implementing this driver.
-
Installer Tip: Since the platform driver performs its work in the background, we recommend adding it to a hidden ‘system’ room (such as a ‘Rack’ room) to keep the client’s Home app interface clean.
