This driver controls a Carrier Infinity via RS232 to a SAM module. You have control of setpoints, fan speeds, and system modes. You will also receive feedback for current room temperature and any temperature/mode/ adjustments done on the thermostats. Sequences are available,  they will allow you to trigger from a scheduler or a quick action.

Please make sure to read below the full description of the driver before purchasing.

It is highly recommended and encouraged to use the built-in trial license to test the driver with your hardware setup before purchasing a full license. The trial period is 2 hours and can be extended another 2 hours by rebooting the processor.

  • What preparation do I need to do before installing the driver?

It is recommended that you save a configuration or golden configuration before installing any driver.

  • What communication options are available?

This driver only works via RS-232 using the SAM module.

  • What is the difference between platform and standalone driver?
    • The standalone driver allows control of only one system and one zone. It offers a slightly simpler driver setup.
    • The platform driver allows controlling more than one handler and zone on a SAM.
    • The standalone driver is available on the HVAC menu on the Crestron Home Setup.
  • The feedback takes a long time to update

The SAM module needs enough time to process each command and send the necessary feedback. This is a limitation of the SAM hardware.

  • The driver is not getting information from the thermostat
    • Make sure the physical connections are correct.
    • Confirm the communication settings.
    • If you have Infinity Touch thermostats, make sure the thermostat is on the home screen.
    • Confirm you are using a supported SAM module. If you have Infinity Touch thermostats, you need to have at least SAM model SYSTXCCSAM01, SYSTXCCRCT01 or SYSTXCCRWF01. If you have older SAM board model, with the Infinity Touch thermostat, than this will not work.
    • Uninstall the driver, reboot the CH processor, re-install the driver.
